Lodge Dinorwig is a 4-star independent hostel in Dinorwig, on the edge of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia). Set in a beautifully converted old school building, our small hostel offers 14 beds in a cosy shared dorm, with spectacular views across Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Llyn Padarn and the mountains beyond.

Start your day with an included cooked breakfast before setting off to explore everything Eryri has to offer. Hike Yr Wyddfa, tackle the trails around Dinorwig Quarry, head out for a mountain run or discover the North Wales coast. Our location near Llanberis makes it easy to spend less time travelling and more time enjoying the outdoors.

What makes us different is the personal touch. As a small independent hostel, we love sharing our local knowledge and helping guests make the most of their time in Eryri. After a day outdoors, come back to a warm, welcoming space with comfy sofas, a drying space, mountain views and a home-cooked meal waiting for you.

We’re lucky to call North Wales home, and we think it’s one of the best places to live. Our hostel is surrounded by some of Eryri’s most impressive landscapes.

We know these mountains well and love helping guests make the most of their time here. From sunrise walks and quiet mountain routes to the best places for a post-hike coffee, we’re always happy to share our local knowledge and help you plan your adventure.

We’ll prepare a packed lunch to keep you going, with a freshly made sandwich, fruit, snacks and our homemade flapjack that guests always seem to talk about.

After a day outdoors, the last thing you’ll want to do is cook. Join us for a home-cooked dinner, share stories from the day with fellow guests and let us take care of the rest.

The best adventures often come with the best stories. Our communal lounge is a place to relax after a day outdoors, meet other travellers, share your favourite routes and enjoy views across Llanberis, Llyn Padarn and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).

We know that after a long day in the mountains, the little things matter. That’s why our bunkroom is designed to give you your own cosy space to rest and recharge.

Our handmade wooden bunks were built with hikers in mind, with privacy curtains, reading lights and charging points so you can properly relax after a day on the trails.
